Picked up the 4-6-7-9-10 split last night!!
« on: October 30, 2007, 05:04:52 AM »
I don't get the chance to shoot at this one but I did last night and I picked it up. Thats probably the hardest split to convert other then the 7-10 because of the nine pin. I usually get the big four but miss the 9 pin, well finally got that bad boy last night slinging the ball at about 22MPH gets great pin action!!! lol

Very cool!  That's one I've never made (and I rarely leave it).  I did make the 4-7-9-10 once, that probably would have gotten the 6 pin if it was up too, but who knows.

Nice pickup, but I think the 9-pin makes it easier, not harder.

Well you would have been impressed then cause that was one bad shot. Last night I shot in the 250+ range all night. The reason I left it was I let up on my speed just a tad bit with my awesome hook and it left that. But hey at least I didn't leave half of it like usually.

Oh and the 9 pin makes it hard cause I aim to hit the 6 pin on the right side and shoot it over to get the 4 and 7 then hope the 9 falls. The 10 i believe jumped out from the back and got it.

Think I made that a while back.  Easier than the big 4 because if you hit it right, you can kick the 6 off of the 9 and into the 4-7 - versus just sliding the 6 over into the 7 (and missing the 4).

I miss the 4 even with the 9 pin!  But that's what usually happens when you shoot after the 3-pin cluster of the Greek Church.  You have to get some good action in order to get both the 4 and 7 out IMO.

Welcome to the exclusive Greek Church Club

Also did it one time, with a straight spare shot on the 10, the 6 sliding westward, taking out the 9 and then hitting the 7 which fell forward into the 4 - like in a B movie.

The easiest way to pick it up is to shoot at the 4-7 and slide the 4 into the 3 pin cluster.

The only problem with this is you will go 1 or 2 out a lot and probably loose pin count over the long haul.

But if I needed to make it to win I shoot at the 4-7.

Have fun with your 2 users during afternoon primetime.  By the way, we voted you most likely to buy another outdated ball.

I agree with you Pinbuster.  That's why I always would shoot for the 3 unless I was in a situation where I ABSOLUTELY had to make it!
