LOL.  A pro had you use a house ball to measure your PAP???  Better RUN to find a new proshop.

These pap measurements reflect a low track or more than average tilt. You should be measured though,on a ball with the grip you are going to use. Keep in mind that some balls are so dynamic, you will get different pap figures on them. A dark plastic ball is the best to use. Lowest flaring and easy to see. If you are using a higher flaring ball, use the oil ring closest to your thumb.

If the span and pitches are much different from your own equipment, you might release the ball completely different, so his PAP measurement might mean nothing.  I can't imagine anyone with a clue having you attempt such a thing.  Even though your other balls would flare some, it's still more accurate to go by the first oil ring on something drilled for you than a plastic ball that isn't.

So you have your own equipment and a "PRO" measured you on a houseball.  What pro is this?

I'm sure if Ebonite knew one of their staffers was using house balls to fit customers, they'd drop him like a hot potato.

Older or not.....he is not that bright.  You only track PAPs on a bowler's own equipment.  Nothing else.  To get the most accurate PAP, you have to use a ball designed for you based on length and flexibility; not a ball belonging to someone else or a houseball.

I don't know about you, but even if a house ball "fits" me, I don't even throw it close to my fingertip drilled stuff.  You know, actually drilled for my hand.  Sounds like you need to find a new driller...

he still lives in PA, he bowls at my center all the time, and he's really nice, so i think he probably measured my PAP right
