Website Update

Any one else not happy with the update. The site now looks amateurish and cheap. Please god change it back.

Quote is working fine for me. It is a little speech bubble over the person's message. The thing I am having trouble with is it seems like every time I post on something the thread I post to drops off the recent post list for me until some one else posts on it... Very strange. Also, go check out the chat. It is halfway decent but no one is there...

Well, I now have the 'new site'. Not sure I like it yet. Had a time just finding the login due to everything being so large. Can't say as I enjoy scrolling down half a page just to see the topic or first reply but then it seems to have more options on it. All in all, it's new, I'm old so it'll take some time for me to find everything and will probably be just fine.

If not, it's like the tv, stop complaining and change channels.

Time will tell. It does seem to require more scrolling and stuff is spread out more.

I do like going back to the blue background.

No offense, but if you are going to be advertising your site on ours, maybe you should tone down your bad-mouthing of our site.

How about, it only takes 20 users (or accounts) to run the website.

I think this is another excuse for the admins to not be involved.

Any chance we could get a public list of former users that didn't make the transfer to the new site?

Thanks, Locke, but I figured it out on my own just a few minutes after I posted and did a quick test in another topic to verify it.  I missed that speech bubble the first time - just so much that looks different.

I did have an issue with this topic but it seems to have disappeared now.  When I first tried to click on the numeral page 2 to go direct to this page, it said that the topic was Locked and did not show anything.  I was going to post that in the Bug Reports, but after finding the Bug Reports forum and starting to report it, I tested it again and this time I had no Locked message and the page displayed fine.

This weird.....When I logged on about 10 minutes ago, the old site still came on for me and not this new one. I posted the site still looked the same. I then went off the site for 2-3 minutes and came back on and this new looks came up. I wonder why I the old site came on for me the first time while everyone was posting about the new looks and there I sat wondering what new looks?

Either it took your local ISP that long to get the new version of the website onto their server, or it finally took that long for your browser to recognize it.

Different servers updated at different times, I guess.

Admin,

Is it possible to remove the user ID pics from the Latest Topics pages to make the list more condensed?  I don't see why it would be necessary to have each poster's pictures there - it just seems to make the pages longer with more scrolling.  Or do most other users here want the pics on those pages?  I can see having them on the topic page itself, but for the listing of posts on each forum, it seems excessive to me.

How about some simple previous/next post buttons on the page so we can get from post to post quicker without constantly having to go back to the list of each forum and clicking the posts one at a time?

I thought I typed in the wrong address and was forwarded to one of those "adult" sites with all of the pop-up ads that seem to follow you around the internet...

Although its new and different, I'm not convinced its an improvement.  Navigation could be improved...

Thanks for taking the profile pictures off of the forum list - that was my biggest complaint.
