What is working good in your arsenal?
« on: November 30, 2016, 08:40:03 AM »
I am just curious to see what balls are working the best for everyone. For me, currently what is working is my  --LOCK--. Most of the time this ball gives me the most consistent ball reaction. If I do need to change balls, the other main 3 that I use that are working very well (depending on the lane condition of course) are the   -- Snap Lock  -- Wreck-it  -- and Defiant Soul. For the lane conditions I am seeing at this time, I can definitely say that with this arsenal, it's getting the job done!

As someone who has been struggling for the past 3 weeks, this is a good thread to have. Lots of middle of the road balls it seems.

I don't mean to hi-jack this topic, but I want to ask if anyone knows what the difference is between the cover on the original Forest Green Quantum and the new Forrest Green Quantum?

I had the original and had two 300's with is. (one sanctioned and one non- sanctioned)  Back then when some of the balls had PK 18 covers I believe it was and they were a bit stronger than my Forest Green Quantum. I asked Brunswick about it back then and they said the Forest Green Quantum cover was more like a PK 17.5 cover. Does anyone have any knowledge about the covers back then and today?

With health problems, I have been forced to reduce ball weights to 12#. Were it not for that, I would be the owner of both today's Forest Green and Fire Quantum, but unfortunately for me, the balls don't come in 12#.

Sorry disagree don't see many middle of the road balls so far in this thread seem majority are medium-heavy balls (ie. Havoc Revolt's, Forza GT's, Quantum's)  Other than Impending Doom's Nighthawk SE and Boost Pearl and charlest's  lower end Low Flare and Outcast.  Either all are bowling on higher volume medium patterns with slicker lane conditioners or high speed with revs inside out or high speed and no revs in the track area.  41' and 19ml I believe would be considered a light-medium pattern for the majority of house conditions depending on lane topography.  Majority of that 19ml is in the middle.  I would think you need to get to that 25ml and up area at 41' to be considered for most of us to be really medium to medium heavy where these medium-heavy balls would shine.  Majority of no handers hate 25ml and up and always put up a ruckus in hdcp rec. leagues.  Reference here.  http://www.ballreviews.com/miscellaneous/i-thought-it-would-be-benificial-but-its-a-bit-more-challenging-now-t312591.0.html;msg2565969;topicseen#new

Vintage DangerZone on the fresh, playing relatively straight and then balling up to the Paradox Pearl or the Grudge and moving inside to swing it a little.

Middle of the road here: Venom Panic. I bowl league in 2 different houses and am seeing less oil in both so far this season.

Decided to throw my Rhino last night since it had been a couple months. Shot a clean 676, 3 stone 8s cost me a 700. It was nice being right on top of the dry last night

My Sigma Sting and Covert Revolt have been a great pair so far this season.  But, when there is actually enough oil to use the No Rules, it's been very effective.
