Seems to be some confusion here.

Do you want to know which is better? Or which one hooks more?

You are obviously very far behind the times. Haven't you heard, it's the same thing these days.

I think the most important question is...who cares?

I'm sorry, but you asked a VERY vague question, and expected a serious answer. Answer is, depends. What is your rev rate, speed, tilt, pap. What conditions are you bowling on? What are you looking for, compared to the other balls you have? How are they drilled? Surface? Are you looking for early hook?

I own a Bank and a Bank Roll, which is the same core and almost the same cover as the Mamba, and they're both very versatile. I can get in, and slow it down, and hook the lane, or move right, and take some hand out, and it gets down the lane, and still maintains the backend move. Carry, for me, is above average. The way the SRC core stands up for me works.

Personally, Brunswick products don't roll well for me. Haven't tried anything since the Inferno days, and the motion looks different now from what they used to roll like.

I try stand up comedy every day. My kids appreciate it.

Well holla,

You've got a bad perspective. You are equating hook with performance and thats a no-no. Hook doesnt equal performance. Both ball you speak of are from 2 different companies. The Terror is going to be long strong and flippy. The green mamba is going to be long but arc on the backend. Now im just speaking from what I've seen from video (green mamba) and from what I've seen in person from a DV8 staffer, I, personally, would go with the terror because I think it'll give people the "big hook" reaction everyone wants to see out of a ball. Not that the green mamba isnt good, just havent seen it in person.

For future reference, know what you're asking of the members before you waste bandwidth with questions that, quite frankly, dont make sense. You're setting yourself up for replys like that when you do.

Wow,

I wish I read the last Rightycomplex's post first and the last Impending Doom post, thats what this website is intended for. And the person who posted the question cares.  Maybe not a question with all the elements needed, but asked in all seriousness.

Don't know about the Mamba.  I have two Revenges, Too Recless and a Mistfit from DV8 and have considered the Terror.  But I keep one Revenge dull and the second one lightly polished but both with different drills.  The Revenge can be drilled for long and strong break point and with polish can be longer and stronger.  The Revenge can also be drilled to hook earlier and read the midlane better and with a rougher surface will make a ball handle lane conditions with a higher amount of oil.

I took a Frantic removed the polish with a pin in a stronger position then the Revenge on an oil pattern that was 5-5 and 42 feet and the Frantic gave me a better look then the Revenge.  So drill pattern and surface prep can make a big difference of what a ball will and will not do.

The point is well taken though, without a lot of specifics about your game, its near impossible to recommend any ball.  We need to know ball speed, rotation, rev rate, maybe your average and the lane condition you're trying to play on.  A video of you throwing the ball a few times really helpls.  A coach would be great then you can post what your coach tells you about your game.  If not a coach, someone from the pro shop.

I do not match up well with Roto Grip for the most part, earlier I read that someone didn't match up with Brunswick.  Many if not all ball manufactuers are making bowling balls that handle all conditions or at least advertised to do it all.

Nic,

Just having a bit of fun at Holla's expense. The only people that have thrown both are...... Nobody! Some staffer just got these balls and very rarely will someone buy 2 high performance asymmetric bowling balls at the same time. So to topic "which is better" then post "which hooks more" confuses many topic readers who might have input. With no stats and a vague topic and question, you're going to get made fun of. In all fairness, i did answer his question to the best of my abilities. Not trying to be mean about anything, but just found it funny. Oh well. Guess only staffers opinions are valid here.
