Who else hates the 8-10

Was bowling a tourney today. Don't expect to make the cut its usually outrageously high, like 740. But bowling a squad today i was involved in the eliminator, which pays some decent money, and got crushed by a pocket 8-10.

I made the first cut by 2 pins, was the second cut, and in the third game a pocket 8-10 turned what would have been a 258(i struck out after it) into a 226, and kept me from being first in the eliminator to third.

Just needed to rant, god I hate leaving 8-10s.

Thats rough, I don't think i've ever left an 8-10 without throwing a shot that wasn't good, i've hit pocket and left it but normally the ball has rolled out or hooked out and is just dead at the deck.

Well it was a lane i was kind of lost on. I had the left lane figured, the right lane gave me a little trouble, the whole game though, and i came in just a pinch light and left an 8-10. I then moved 1 board to the right for the 9th frame and went dead flush, it just took me most of a game to strike over there.

I myself do not like the 8-10. I was bowling a tournament a couple of weeks ago.  At the time I did not know how close I was being in the cut, going into the 10 left a solid 8-10.  Found out after the squad that I missed the cut by 8 pins.  Very dissapointing.

On pocket shots, the worst breaks I ever get are the 7-10.  My ball always nails the 8 pin no matter what.

If I bowl 50 games, I'll get it once or twice.  

I play a week ball(s) that will not recover on dry lanes when I swing them out, so my only real option if I ever face some extreme dry is to take a lot of hand out.  So... It goes in very flat and deflects if it is not DEAD flush.

You know, the ball itself shouldn't hit the 8 pin normally on a flush pocket hit.  If it does hit the 8, that's a good way to leave a 4 pin or a stone 9 or stone 7.

I used to hate it alot as a rev challenged kid...as a rev challenged adult I haven't left it for 5 years or so and it did kinda make me mad.  Reason being I moved left after leaving a flush 7-9 the frame before on that lane.

Unlike Rev-O, I MAY have left an 8-10 (I would need video evidence to confess) but I've never taken out 4 through the face.
