there could be reasons for him selling those. Maybe his family is having a hardship right now and really needs the extra cash? I know I had to unload alot of mine a few years ago when my son was really ill alot. You do what you have to do sometimes!

Or maybe honor scores don't really mean that much anymore.  I haven't worn my 300 ring in years.

Uhhh did anyone notice it's just a 800 ring... He could have shot 801... It doesn't say 896 on the ring... Look at the pic

bass might have to back me up with this fact but I believe those rings are Mark Munsch's.  I bowled in the same league at a local establishment with him when I was on the UW-Oshkosh collegiate team.  Silky smooth.  To that point, (I believe)it was the State record until Tony Rovetini shot 900 in Milwaukee a few years ago.

If those are Mark's, it's entirely possible it's from his 896.

Just curious though, couldn't I have my local Jewelry store just inscribe the ring. I'm not trying to be a DumbArse, I'm just playing devil's advocate

Those would be the rings for Mark Munsch's 896.
I don't know why he would be selling them.
Haven't spoken with him that much in the last 5 years or so.
I was on the pair next to him that night he shot the 896.
Was 2nd high after 2 with around 510.
Next to Glenn Allison's 900 and Jordan's 899 this I think is the hightest series shot with Urethane equipment( Burgandy Hammer).

What I should have posted was the 3rd highest series shot with nonreactive equipment.
Allisons with plastic.
Jordan's with urethane.
Munsch's with urethane.

Everything since then has been with resin.
Or a variation of it.
Satisfied now.
