Your greatest bowling accomplishment?
« on: July 30, 2009, 04:48:34 AM »
Lol here's one that will get a million replies . .  Whether you've won a PBA title, or regional, or even if your only accomplishment so far is a 300 on a house shot, I'm curious what people on this site have accomplished.  Doesn't have to be a score, it could be a tournament win, could be a nice few game set, could be mastering a certain look, could be beating a pro, could be successfully figuring out a seemingly impossible shot, what have you.  Or maybe you have more than one that you're proud of, list them all.  As for me . .

I have a 200+ average with both hands.

I've cashed in EVERY SINGLE tournament I've bowled in that has a format of 10 games or more, and I'm talking 25-30 of them.

How can that possibly have been on your birthday?  Based on that insane performance, you're obviously not human, and I didn't think robots had birthdays.

Rico said he DRILLED them. He didn't say they fit!

Actually, I've seen him in action at one of our shops during a JANBA tournament. He's fast. He can really draw those lines, a.k.a "the dog and pony show."

Yeah, but even drilling a ball with three fingerholes the same size and getting them reasonably close to what you're aiming at, even if they're all zero pitch holes . . that would still be something.

My first PBA 300 in a regional about 3 months ago.

Other than that, my other 3 3's, a 796 series, and I still get excited at the coming of the new season.

Setting the tournament club record with an 858 scratch series, including back to back 300 games.  Sometimes as I look back, I'm still taken aback, that A) I hit the pocket that many times in a series, B) every shot carried for 2 games straight, and C) I made good shots under so much pressure for such an extended amount of time. One accomplishment I'll always look back on and be proud of.

Wisconsin Division 1 State Champion and then a few years later going into 1st Place and finishing 3rd (with two guys beating my score the last weekend) after switching to lefty due to a rotator problem in my right shoulder.

Shooting my first 700 when I was 11 yrs old with the good ole 8 Ball. It happened to be on the same pair that my youth bowling coach passed away on a few months before. I was distraught the week before after shooting a 699, and I managed to make up for it the next week on his lanes. It was awesome and I know that he helped me every step of the way that night...
