Ok....after reading charlest post re: his S&A experience...and of course we all know how Saw the Rack feels........I was just thinking.....

Poll:

1. Of those who throw Mo ..... are you happy with the equipment ?

Yes or NO ( If no, please breifly explain )

Also if NO
2) ...have you had bad experiences with other mfg's??

NOTE: This post is strictly for factual gathering and is not in support or an attempt to slam this equipment.

Please answer honestly.

Posters who DO NOT need to answer are:

I have mixed feeling with Mo's stuff.

I have thrown the colossus, colossus pearl, labyrinth, shock & awe.

I love the labyrinth and the colossus pearl and trhe oter two hasn't worked for my game.

Tempted to try the sahara but waiting a while longer.

I tried the bowlingballdynamics.com and found it to work pretty well.  You may want to try it out.  Tell them I sent you and give him my email addy.  The only thing I get is credit on the future reviews.  For those that aren't sure what to buy or what works for your game it is worth a look.

Charlest you may want to consider this.  For the money I think ist is well worth it.  I used to purchase a few balls on ,my list and have been happy with it.

I currently have the Shock and Awe, Ravage, and Total Annihilation.  I owned the WMB, but I quickly sold that one on Ebay because it didn't match up with my game.

Overall, I have to say that YES I'm very happy with their equipment.  To me, their equipment is easily tunable for me to play any condition that I come across.  I like the combination of the Brunswick Activator and PK18 covers with the strong asymetrical MoRich cores.  I especially like the Vanguard core.

I can't wait for the Seek and Destroy to come out.

Morich equipment I currently own:
Total Shock and Awe
Shock and Awe
Ravage

How do I love my morich equipment let me count the ways:  First of all being someone with higher speed and mediun revs on the ball, I'm always on the lookout for a ball that has a good carry in oil.  A lot of my game is based on carry and the TSA gives me that on oil.  It gives me enough area where I can be a little off and still will carry out the strike.
My Shock and Awe is absolutly amazing.  On most any medium pattern, I can throw this ball and average 220.  This ball has great recovery, great slam into the pocket and allows me a great deal more area than some of my storm equipment.  My shock and Awe is a must have in my bag at all times for me.
My ravage is a hit or miss story, I bought it used, not the drilling I would of had on it (pin above bridge mass in strong) for me its a real dry lane ball it has a ton of control on it however, for me it doesn't carry all that great.

Problems I've had with manufacturers:  Brunswick (Ultimate Inferno-Had a wierd delay in the break point)  Ebonite (Red Wolf dull used 4 games and it sucked...Adrenaline...died after ten games.....Aggression so jumpy I polished it then it died...tried bringing the surface back still dead....)  Hammer (Big Block Diesel..nice arc ball not for me)  Storm equipment I haven't liked....X-Factor Reloaded and my pin under Vertigo (too inconsistent))

So I personally think everyone has some problems with every company, even their favorite company.  I think you just need to pick out good equipment that fits YOUR game.  Morich equipment matches up from what I have seen better with higher speed players.  A guy I know bought a Sahara, drilled it aggressively and the ball wants to go in the left gutter every time he throws it due to a bad drilling.  I told him a new drilling and he'll try it...oh well...just my thoughts on the matter

I have had nothing but good luck with my Mo equipment.  Been shooting lights out with my Pioneer, Ravage 2,Hercules, and Rev Annihation.  Shot 775, and 817 with them in the last week.  I have had 2-290 games with them, and about 10-279 thus far.  Not bad for towards the beginning of the season.  Don't know if it is the equipment, or my new approach?  I am looking forward to drilling my Onslaught, Mayhem.

I own:

Onslaught
Ravage
WoMB
Total Annihilation
Shock & Awe

The Ravage (charlest has seen me throw this) is by far my favorite of the group.

The Onslaught (my first particle) was a pleasant surprise as I had to throw it using very little swing.

Jury still out on the WoMB.  I almost never see enough oil to warrant use of this ball.

Total Annihilation is a very nice ball, though not as strong (surprisingly) as my Ravage.

Shock & Awe I'm still testing.  I've had a different layout as well as thumb pitch changed.  I've also changed the cover as well.  So far I'm pleased with the newfound results.  Quick revving ball.  Not a real 'swinger' for me, then again, with an inverted track, why play the big swing?  Definitely for light-medium conditions.

Check profile for other mfg's.  So far, my experience has been nuetral->positive.  However the newer stuff requires surface changes to achieve desired results.

Hope this helps.

I've had a Ravage, WMB and S&A, my wife had a TA and Onslaught and my son has a Sahara and S&A.

I am in the same frame of mind as charlest and Saw.  I can not get the balls to react for me.  No backend reaction in the least.  Every manufacturer has it's faithful followers and whenever they would jump in and say that you could drill these balls to do anything I always wondered why I couldn't.  They would say you have to have someone knowledgeable to lay out this equipment.  Well, I had Mo lay out my Ravage and S&A and I worked with Freddy Carroll with my WMB.  If the man himself can't get my ball to react then I guess I have to say this equipment doesn't match my game.  My last attempt was an S&A and after Mo watched me bowl he gave his layout instructions to Tommy Semiz to drill (Chris from the PBA truck actually did the drilling).  Mo watched as I tried to get the S&A to do something (anything!).  He gave it back to Semiz and said, "more surface"!.  After some "more surface" (1000 grit) we tried it again and still nothing.  Once more, back to Semiz with "more surface".  This time 500 grit and still nothing.  Mo then rechecked it and said we need a Target Hole!  Target Hole punched and still an expensive spare ball.  I had my Yeah Baby and Satisfaxion with me and decided to try them while I was waiting to see if the conditions had changed and had no problems at all.  Mo watched me throw these Legends balls and said I was throwing Freddies pos.  At least these "pos" were moving and blowing racks.  Without rambling too much longer, my wife had her equipment layed out by the man and had the same result as I.

Now my son is having good success with the Sahara.  I just got him an S&A and he is experiencing the same "symptoms", can't get much from the ball.  We'll play around with cover to see if we can get some type of reaction out of it.

My pap is anywhere from 4 3/4 to 5 1/2 over (depending on the day and who's measuring) usually around midline.  My son is a high tracker (pap 6 1/2 over and 7/8 up) and he gets many more revs than I do.

I have success with Lane #1 (older stuff w/PK18, not Activator) and with LaneMasters/Legends.

This is not meant to be a bash of MoRich.  I think that Mo is a modern day bowling genius and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting him a number of times.  I just don't match up to his equipment (unfortunately).  My son bowls in the JBT and in scholarship leagues and Mo has taken a strong hold with the youth bowlers.  You see Mo's stuff on almost every rack.  I think Saw has a point with the spinner tracks because most of these "kids" have lower tracks with high revs and these balls move for them!  Take care....JS

jeffrevs,  See the problem is that the balls are all drilled mostly control drillings.  All are drilled with an arc in minds.  Except the sahara.  That one is supposed to go long and snap.  Problem is that all of them work great but none will give me a straight down and in shot.  I prefer playing a line like that however given where I bowl its just not feasible.  But the equipment is strong ( DONT GET ME WRONG WHICH I LIKE).  but I would like for a ball from morich to be a ball along the lines of the ebnite fire or ice.  Something that is low price range but comes from a superior manufacturer.  NOt SAYING ebonite isnt but I can really tell a bigger difference when I roll morich and ebonite.

AND ALSO ITS NOT THE BOW AND ARROW RIGHT NOW ITS THE INDIAN

ok i will bite i am one of the lowly no ball really makes a difference cause i suck ,but my game is slowly coming back and i say this before i answered in an attempt to justify my answer.i would have to say that when i first bought my wmb i was tickled pink loved it even posted a review to say so . liked the ball so much i bought a hercules liked it too but now i cant seem to score with either of these balls wmb seemed to just die and my hercules i just cant get a read on the lanes with it had the surfaces modified had the balls redrilled and now i just use them to work on adjusting ,when i cant find a line with these i can find a line with something else so i have a hard time looking those who i recommended the wmb to because noone that has one uses it with any success. I have a friend who got his after seeing me use mine before it died he never used it in a game other than practice and gave it away i have an oracle that i am seeing good results with on medium shots where i should be able to use the wmb or herc ,but they just dont perform and that morich hit and carry always at first but wait awhile and those off pocket carries and light hit strikes and defining rip the rack strikes u expect just dont happen

I have a TA and a Ravage.  To be honest, when I first got my TA, it was awful!!  Made a great spare ball!!  That was mostly due to my style.  When I adopted some more tilt, the TA wasn't burning up anymore, made a nice move and just kills the pins!!  Can't use it for more than 1 game usually as there's just not enough oil.  I could polish it up a little, but I already have balls for that.  The Ravage I'm still getting to know.  I went through a little spell where I was spinning the ball, at which point, this ball didn't work well at all.  Now that I'm back to my normal shot, I'll give it another chance to see how it fairs.  The Ravage sounds like a cannon going off when I hit the pocket!

Just got a WMB and have a S&A on the way.

Moved to a synthetic house this year after my old wood house closed it's doors forever. I'd been struggling with carry all year using a phenom, havoc and velocity. First night out with the WMB...instant carry....kicking out 10s...messengers....was almost funny.

The jury is still out....but so far...it's been a pretty good match.

I think it just comes down to everyone having that one company that just doesn't match up with them no matter what.  It's just like anything else most people will like the majority of the companyies out there.  I'm a golf pro and no matter what I do I can not seem to get comfortable with Taylor Made equipment no matter what I try.  I can't say I have a bowling ball company that doesn't match up with me because I haven't had enough time to try different stuff but I would assume down the road there will be one out there.  I would have to say alot of it is mental... but then again it always is isn't it?  And I feel believing a ball is going to work for you is a good enough reason not to use it.

So funny watching these people so angry over all these balls they haven't thrown or have thrown on the wrong condition with the wrong drilling.  Oh well, life's tough.
