I would have to say a great combo.. don't have the gt yet. But have the og. And when that is to strong. I switch to the shock... Both balls are good!  Have the gt on order for the fall season. The shock is a great ball. Hope that helped you out..

For me, the GT is stronger than the original Forza. It's at least 3 and 2 stronger than the shock . It's a great flat pattern ball so far.

GT is stronger than the Shock as milo said. They are a great 1-2 combo if you like that motion. Smooth, earlier read with a nice but controlled backend motion, being the GT more responsive to friction than the Shock. You can see it here:

Agreed.  Just got the GT and it is stronger than the shock, but still very smooth and controlled.  For lower rev, lower rotation angle guys, this means not much backend jump.  This is good when you need more control to the pocket.  I see the GT as an early in the set fresh oil ball as long as the pattern is not too long or oily.
