I'm kinda surprised about all the Octane hate,I think it's a good ball. maybe priced a little to high for what it is and maybe the reason for the dislike by many? the Tag is a good ball too and priced lower so maybe why it gets more love.

My son really liked his Octane when he was at 14# and the sense I'm getting is that he is really interested in the Burn.  The octane is the only Moyptiv ball I have thrown. It was 'meh' for me.  Sometimes pretty good, other times not so good. I never felt real good with it. Probably picked the wrong ball to try this company with. My son is a loyalist though.

I have noticed that also.   A lot of MOTIV staffers are throwing the Burn.   It looks nice!

On the burn and double burn at the US Open.....The Octane Burn makes sense but also has to do a lot with various bowlers roll and bowling stats.

Interestingly, I just noticed that the pre-order price is now 136.95 (i.e., $10 lower).  I wonder if there was a lot of blowback on the pricing for that performance level which precipitated the drop.  Still a bit high in the context of their performance ranges, but much more palatable.  Actually brings it similar to the original tribal price point.

I don't see how I can get avoid adding this for The Boy now.

I've always wondered about the price point of the Octane because in Motiv's chart it's placed along with the Forza balls. I'll still buy the Burn despite the price hike for it. As far as people saying the Redline is very snappy, I haven't experience that much reaction with mine and I have it drilled pin up near the bridge.
