This place was REALLY DIRTY, bro. I mean dried up liquids everywhere. After bowling 5 games there, I need to send my Hy-Road and Cell Pearl for spa treatments! ..... AMF is crazy. They want to charge you $3/gm and they don't put their best foot forward. As a TD, you try to work with the center because I realize that b-day parties and open play is revenue for them. But DAMN, they could at least clean the place and give Money Bags the amount of lanes that they originally agreed upon.

I'm from the DC area and we've lost a lot of centers since '91 and it wouldn't hurt my feelings if that closed down too!....lol... WHAT A DUMP!

Wow, I'm so glad I bowled in Winchester tournament.  Didn't sound like I missed anything at Marlow.  Even though the scoring pace was medium for most of us at Northside it's 10x more enjoyable than bowling on what was described at Marlow.  Couldn't imagine taking over 5 hours to bowl 5 games either, all the time trying to avoid the wet spots and hoping your ball isn't being distroyed.

80 bowlers!  That is unheard of, especially for guys who are new at this stuff. 8 on a pair is a bad pace and Marlow Heights is one of many AMF centers in the DC area that could be updated and maintained a lot better. I guess they could have capped it at 6 on a pair and sent 20 home, but most tournaments don't turn down lines of bowlers, if they get them at all! I guess some must like the payoff if they are repeat bowlers.  I want to know how did they get 80 bowlers to come out to a local, 1 squad tournament? That's a big accomplishment, I'm impressed.
