I purchased a Up-Rising on 11-26 received it on dec. 5th and multiple e-mails later they have yet to make thing right by me. O.K. the problem when ordering the ball I asked for 2"-3" pin, 3-4oz top and 15lbs 2oz-15lbs 5oz over all weight. I ended up with 2"3" pin 2 1/2oz top and a ball weight of 15lbs 8oz yes that is correct 15 1/2lbs. their only response to this was that they promise to meet top weight within 1/2oz and over all weight within 3oz that is why they sent me 15lbs 8oz. this is the exact wording to their response. I then sent them another message  
saying so you stuck me with a ball 15 1/2lbs because you could also I turned thing around on them because they say on their web sight 15lbs 7oz - 15lbs 10oz is consider medium weight and is stated as such. So currently on jan. 2nd I am out the money but no new ball and no response from them since dec. 11th.

hopefully they do you right, you do understand you wouldn't have the problem if you would of purchased it from your local pro shop price you pay for internet pricing!

Your right I have never seen a 15lbs 8oz ball in any pro shop, I tried to save $60
including what it was going to cost to have it drilled but instead of saving $60 I lost $109 not the best deal I have ever made.

your freaking out about 3oz weight and a 1/2 oz top weight?  I'm sure if they had the specs you requested in stock, they would have sent it to you.  Would you rather have had the ball back-ordered for a few weeks instead of them shipping one closest to the specs you asked for right out?

I have just received an e-mail from bowlingball.com and they are now sending me a UPS call tag to ship the ball back and are giving me 100% credit. After 6 e-mails on my part and reluctance on theirs I finally reached someone who is willing to make thing right and take care of me I just wish it would of been on dec. 5th instead of jan 3 but things are finally starting to happen. Its just strange it happens to be the morning after I post on here about their customer service being poor.

Have to agree with this post.

Anyway im glad that you are getting to return the ball,Just beware you might get hit with a restocking few whats wrong with the ball anyway?Does 3 oz make that much of a difference?

A ball 15lbs. 8 oz is a huge difference when you're used to throwing something in the low 15s.

Regardless if it is a few ounces heavier than what he wanted, he had asked for a specific wieght with a specific statics, if they were out of what he wanted they never should've taken his money, or at least asked him if what they had would be OK with him.

Regardless of how accommodating they were with his pin & top weight requests, the customer paid for a first quality ball and they sent him a mid-weight ball that would have been on eBay in 90 days for a fraction of the original list pricing.  The only question remains was whether or not it was intentional.

In any event, bb.com seems to be interested in making amends.  If everything turns out to your liking, please make certain to make it public.

The first thing I thought of whe I read this is what is Bowlingball.com's policy on this. Most websites I have ordered balls from say that you can request a certain pin position and top weight, but they do not guarantee to meet it. Again that is the chance you take buying equipment online without being able to see it/hold it before doing so.

If their website does not have such a disclaimer, then you have a right to be upset, if it does, then it is your fault for not reading everything before you purchased the ball. Neither here nor there now as it seems they are willing to give you a refund.

I feel that I can respond to this without causing any problems.

Our Guarantee only states pin placement within 1/2" and top weight within 1/2 ounce.  We do not guarantee total weight publicly, but we do try to be within 3 ounces of the request.

Now I do not know the specifics of bowler851's case.  I can tell you that I am the only one that looks at this site.  And this is the first time I have been on in a couple of months.  The Christmas season was very very busy for us here.

I know that we try hard to have top notch customer service.  

Thank you for your time.  I do appreciate the comments that somewhat defended us here.

You are missing the point johncongdon, you tried and pass off a ball that was 15lbs 8oz as a 15lbs ball and your web sight states this would be classified as a 15 medium and you let people put in requests but don't honor them and you do not except responsibility and take care of the customer unless they send up words of 10 plus e-mails and still don't admit fault. What I believe is you did this on purpose I know you had a ball that fit what I was looking for but intentionally tried to stick me with a ball that you knew you could not sell as first quality.

dude.   after drilling including a balance hole it will be close to  15lb 2 oz.   your freaking out over nothing

Who's freaking out, and drilling a ball dose not take out 6oz, nice try. Walk into
 your local pro shop and see how many first quality balls he has for sell that are 15lbs 8oz I bet you will not find one.
