Actually, yes to my surprise. A few of the bigger pro shops in the denver metro area seem to be carrying some of these balls now.

The one guy that has got the new standard wants to trade it too me possibly and i have a new one getting punched this week already. I have already got a trade worked out for the used ball and will be getting something else for it, unless i love my new one and decide it is all that like the hype says. My buddy says it hooks too much for his game and even polished is a monster hooking wise but he said it is very touchy and would hardly see enough oil to use it much. I will post my thoughts later next week good or bad when i get mine this week.

I have a Yeah Baby - it is sort of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde...
I (it) carry off hits and break up splits like no ball I've ever seen but
I leave more solid 8's, 9's and 10's on what look like good pocket hits to me like no ball I've ever seen either...

The pro shop I go to (Pro Image) is owned by Ken Yokobosky and Al Jones.  Ken is on the Training and Pro staff at Legends.  My son just picked up a Yeah Baby yesterday and will be using it this weekend.  I have been thinking about a New Standard but don't know if I see enough oil for this ball.  I have been seeing some show up on the racks lately.

picked up a yeah baby last tuesday at the insistence of my proshop.  love the way it has a very readable roll and  incredible hit.  Still need to learn the correct adjustments for it on the sport shop as the lane goes thru transition.  Have been over average with it all three sesions that I have used it on three different conditions.  Have gotten a ton of questions about it from everyone who watched it including bowlers that I don't know.

a guy in monday league has a yeah baby and another guy has a couple of the new standards drilled differently and they look OK to me. Nothing to make me run out and pay $200 bucks for one, but if I could find a used one at a decent price, sure I would love to try either one..

If they only made a ball that would carry that da_n 7 pin (and I am right handed!!)

If it is not Storm, Columbia, Ebonite (making a comeback), or Brunswick (also making a comeback) it is not used a whole lot here in South Dakota mainly Sioux Falls. Can't really say for the rest of the state. Sad to say many of the lower companies don't get a good chance up here.

In Raleigh NC .. in two different Centers I've seen 3 bowlers (total 6) using either the NEW STANDARD or the YEAH BABY .. both of the balls roll GREAT. From what I see the NS has a nice arc to the pocket consistently while the YB seems to have more BACK END. I wanted one of these when I first read about them .. because they were not PBA approved my DRILLER didn't want to get involved. I'll get one .. don't know when .. but I will!

Hey Next Level, I also live in Northern NJ and I have not seen Legends products at all.  I finally got connected with Pro Image Bowling in Rockaway NJ.  Ken Yabolonsky is the proprietor and also on staff for Legends.  Unfortunately it is almost an hour away from my home.  I currently bowl at Bowler City in Hackensack. The Pro Shop at Bowler City does not want anything to do with the smaller manufactures.

I was there last night and Rick and Dee carry the full line of Legends. I think Ken gave them a good deal for taking a few.

From what I have seen of my New Standard and an aquaintance's Yeah Baby, the primary advantage of these balls is their incredible hitting power. It is on a par or slightly above that of Brunswick's Activator that I have seen in the Inferno, the Ultimate Inferno and my own Intense.

Out of the box, both NS and YB seems suitable for most people for medium to heavy oil, unless you have some unusual drilling on them. The YB goes a little longer than the NS, but wil then cover 3-7 more boards, depending on oil and bowler's release.

One fascinating idiosyncracy of my NS has been when I polished it, very lightly, using Legends' own polish: I got a large number of feet of greater length. As per usual, with such a modified cover, you need to find a little dry for the ball to make the turn. Normally, out of the box, the NS does not need to find any dry - it will make the turn.

I have seen ZERO of these being used in Atlanta.....much less any being stocked in proshops here.  Just a geographic thing I guess.
