I disagree.  I prefer solid colored stuff and I think the Break in particular looks pretty sweet.

then some guy says the flip blocks are different, and has different densities. The pictures sure look the same. just tell the truth

Maybe you can tell the density of a certain bit of material just by looking at it but I have to weigh it and compute the volume first.  Are, say blue colored pieces more dense than, say, yellow colored pieces?

Companies re-use cores all the time with various tweaks.  Phil puts together some great balls and not every core is the most ingenious, groundbreaking, new thing since sliced break but the performance of the balls is as good as anything out there.  One might ask just how many lightbulb cores we need (Elements, Vendettas) but I've never heard of someone disliking those balls.

Maybe it looks like the Artillery core.  It probably also looks a lot like the Revmaster core.  And knowing Columbia, another dozen balls on top of those two.  But if the ball rolls well and hits hard for a lot of users, so what?

That's funny not bothering my parade,  My "boring" looking Break Hooks a whole lot more the my Total NV and my V2.  My Creature also is one of the best pearl balls I have ever used.  Besides what is boring about using a ball that will carry well and win me lots of money this year.  These balls do exactly what they are said to do bottom line.

I think the core was first used in the original Track Stomp which (correct me if I'm wrong Phil) was a Phil design. It is a proven core and I myself have no problem with a company making tweaks to match todays lane conditions.

I've loved the Track cores and covers for a long time and have had a lot of success with them. I think I need equipment similar to those from the past to continue my success so I'll be trying the new 900 Global/AMF equipment this season.

One trap I hope 900Global does not fall into is the dreaded "lack of creative cores" trap. I see where the Pulse/Total Chaos/Titan-shaped core is in the Creature. It's a great core, but please do not make the mistake C300 did. The Break is a great first step.

In an email, ET told me -- "The Global ball will be ready as soon as they arrive,
we had Storm build this release because we didn't know if our core pouring area would be up in time. As you know by now it was and is running, however we didn't want to take the chance. The cover on that ball
is Storm's hp cover I believe RS2 I don't know much about the terms of theirs. As for reaction, let me say long and strong. Thus the name, Break because when it gets there its very very violent. The Creature will be a great mid price addition and will utilize the old Titan core with a new blended reactive BASF resin. "

Thus, charlest, my reason for saying what I did about the R2S...

Sorry if I caused/cause any confusion...

Is the Orbit EX the same ball that's been out or a new one? BTW: I also like solid colored balls.

bombsaway --

Thanks for your appreciation. However, I believe there has been some confusion about pieces of info along the way, and that, as a result, bad info has gotten out into the marketplace (including my most recent comment). The Break's cover is NOT R2S. They had Storm pour it, that's it.

And on another note to bombsaway...The Hei$t's core has different densities and core numbers than some of the other cores with similar/identical "shapes," such as the Artillery's, Revmaster's, etc. But the "identical" or "almost the same" core shape itself, if the numbers themselves are different, has nothing to do with ball reaction. That is, if you take the USBC's latest research into consideration. The Revmaster core and the Hei$t core might look the same, but if the numbers are different, and the covers are different, they are too entirely different balls.

They are not trying to mislead customers. They are trying to inform customers, which is why ET and Phil come on here in the first place and talk about their products. Now, if some information is mistakenly given, who are you to say they are "misleading" them??? A mistake is not a lie, nor is it an attempt to deceive customers. A mistake is the product of openness about company policies gone wrong, and nothing more -- and if you really wanted to criticize companies for "deceptive tactics," why don't you attack others less transparent than 900G?

Furthermore, they have never claimed these cores or covers were "all new." They have only claimed they are the best combinations available to the consumer today. Which is, I think, not the most heinous thing in the world to do, especially considering how it's their job to do so.
