Some guy in the crowd was moving around while Weber was bowling. And it happened a bunch of times on the show by apparently that same person.

In response to your question, according to my friends who were near the lanes, pete was yelling at some kids who were moving while he was on his approach.

I thought he was yelling at the kids at first, too, but after watching it on DVR later, I think he was talking about someone seated further up. I'm not sure anyone outside of Pete and his entourage knew exactly who he was talking about. The announcers claimed not to know. My only question was why couldn't he just have had them moved during a commercial break? I mean, if someone is being a consistent distraction, I would think the TDs would have the ability to force that person to leave or trade seats to get him out of the players' eye-line.

Another year, another arsenal of bowling balls, and I'm still a standard house hack!

The last match it didn't sound like he was talking to kids, that's for sure.  He's PDW, so I wouldn't put it past him to yell at some kid, but it sounded like he was talking to someone that should know better.

Either way, I always enjoy PDW when he's like that.  There's nothing that says Pete Weber, the legend, more than when he's letting it all fly.

Well I thought Weber was being a dick! Here he is a 140 lb old man acting like he’s going to climb up in the stands and throw down. What a joke. I was watching with some friends who were watching for the first time and they couldn’t believe how he was acting. Granted, if there was someone distracting him then that person should have been moved after the second occurrence. If it was me that he was yelling at I would have been thrown out. I wouldn’t have sat there and took the verbal abuse from such a dickhead.

LoL!!  Great analogy, but PDW has more class on his little toe nail than that BR user you referenced will ever have in his entire life.

I don't know why he is the only one needing attention!! You know in that environment people are going to be moving to a certain extent deal with it! Like a pro elite athlete! Last time i bowled the pins where 60' in front of me not 40' to my left! During the week does he get a 4 pair courtesy??? If it's not lights so he has to where those stupid glasses it's something else!! Shut up and BOWL!!!

wow....

anyway, like him or not, I think it's good for the PBA to have the PDW and Rash types in the sport. Just to keep things interesting. Most sports have the "bad boy" players out there too. I know several folks over the years that know nothing about bowling, but they know that I watch the PBA and go bowilng a lot.  Yet, they know the "guy with the sunglasses." The dude is a legend.

(nowadays, some of the same folks ask me about the guy that throws with two hands.)

Seeing all the talk about Weber and his celebration makes me think no one gets fired up at bowling. Hell, this year at one house there were almost 4 fights this season so far, one because my buddy get a little animated and after 6 in a row some had had enough....... needless to say, he told that big mother effer he was drop a 3 on him and did......
Same thing here, 5th US Open and $60,000 and arguably the best bowler of all time, lets burn the place down. This is not the 50's, 60's or 70's and this is how athletes are now, they get animated.
All I know is everyone at my house was glued to the TV, and bowling was on.....bowling. House full of people and all the talk was about bowling and Weber. Some loved it some hated but the PBA is trending everywhere and they can thank Pete Weber

As already posted elsewhere.  He was bowling for his 5th Open title plus 60 grand.  Its bad enough when you have to bowl against tough lane conditions and an excellent opponent, why should he have to also go against a fan in the seats ?  If you remember, after the 1st time, he politely said "please do not move while I am on the approach" but after the 2nd time, the fan should have been removed.  There was a lot on the line for PDW and its hard to fault him for getting mad at a person who could stay still while he was bowling.

Also, he really only threw one real bad shot for the entire 3 matches that almost crossed over.  The fan moved again and I think after that is when the battle begain between him and the fan.

Like someone else already said.  The fan might have kept Pete head in the game and thats why he won.  I kind of agree with that statement.

I dont't doubt for a second the fire Pete has for the game, his endless ability and acomplishments! Everyone is in the same venue bowling and Pete always seems to pick out someone in the crowd.
