The Solid version of this ball utilizes the Reactor Solid coverstock which offers an earlier and smoother reaction on medium to light oil.

Review:
Everyone loves a good mid level solid ball. This is a ball that is in play for a long period of time because of its versatility. Changing covers on mid level balls is also very popular for that reason. From what we have seen many people are experiencing great success with taking the polish off if you experience more of a traditional house shot, or a house shot that puts a lot of volume down. If you loved the Electrify Pearl but need something a bit stronger this is a great compliment and the 3-tone red color looks amazing.

Versatility is the word when it comes to the Electrify solid. Great out of the box with the factory finish. Great with a little scuff. Fits a need in every bag to play in houses with older lane panels and a great option on many sport patterns.

Likes: I got the Electrify Solid to compare to my Burner Solid and Hustle Camo with a 4.5in pin to PAP and a 40 back angle, pin up over the ring finger. I am a very big fan of the polished solid balls in league and this one didnt disappoint. Its a smoother shape than both the Camo and burner and in between those 2 in length, the Burner is the cleanest for me. The Electrify Solid is easily the best electrify of the 3 that have been released for me. The smoother roll in the midlane blends the pattern so great. I can stay right and play straight and if it starts to pick up then i can go right into my Burner solid without moving. Very good for league bowlers thta like to play up the lane.

This is the first ball from the Electrify series that I have thrown. Recently it has really come in handy when I am trying to play straighter/right side of lanes attempting to stay outside of where everyone else is playing. I took a 2000 grit pad to the cover to knock the shine off which seemed to really compliment the look I was trying to get out of it in the mid lane. I like balls that are predictable and don’t over react down lane so it is no surprise that I am getting along well with the Electrify Solid. I can’t wait to see how I use it on some sport shots.

Storm Electrify Solid

Cover: Reactor Solid

Core: Circuit

Layout: 4.5x35

The newest Storm Hot line ball...the Electrify Solid. A low RG ball that for me screams "IQ Tour Solid Jr".

With the Electrify Solid, I see a bit more versatility than the IQ Tour Solid and a little more downlane movement.

A great fit between the IQ Tour Solid and the Hustle Camo.

If you bowler on medium oil and lighter, this one is worth a look.

The Storm Electrify solid features the Circuit Core which is wrapped in the Reactor solid coverstock.  The ball is finished at 1500 grit polished and has an RG of 2.51 with a .030 differential.  This ball is a lot stronger than the numbers and the price point would indicate.  This ball has a quicker response time than I anticipated.  The out of box finish made it very clean through the fronts, but it stood up a little to quick for my liking when it encountered friction.  My intentions for this ball were to use it on the over cliffed house shots that I often encounter in my area and be able to play further out in the friction.  The quick response time made it difficult for me to stay right with closed angles.  I took the polish off and left the ball at 2000 grit abralon and that gave me the reaction I was looking for.  The ball still gets through the fronts and now gives me a nice slow arcing motion on the backend.  Don’t be afraid to drill this ball a little weaker than normal as it is stronger than you would think, and this ball definitely takes well to surface adjustments.

The Storm Electrify Solid is the newest release in the Hot Line. The earlier Pearl and Hybrid releases were a big surprise for how much they hooked at the price point. The solid however is definitely my favorite of these balls as I feel it can be used on more volume of oil compared to its earlier counterparts.

The Reactor cover makes this ball give more motion than you would expect from a ball with a .030 Diff. It still has the characteristic even/continuous roll you expect from the circuit core but I personally feel like this ball looks best as a transition ball out of urethane, it should put you in the same area of the lane but create more shape in the area where the urethanes start wanting to over-skid with carry-down.

On the high volume house pattern at my home center i didn't have much hope of a "weak" ball being useful, but the electrify solid lets me play close to the friction on the fresh and create a good defined hook spot for the last couple games, so I'm getting great use out of it on pattern I wouldn't expect to.
