One thing you could do is get it so that you finger tips are tighter in the ball i.e. you middle/ring finger.  This helped me rev it a little higher.

How much you cup your wrist also helps with generating more or less revs.

Make sure to get your thumb out of the ball. With a clean release, revs come almost automatically and no further gadgets will be necessary.

Additionally, cupping the wrist, spreading the index finger and tucking the pinkie finger under the ball will add revs.

As Dizzy basically said, revs is all about good timing and a good release.

check out this video.  Both bowlers get well above average revs on the ball, though as the video shows, when slowed down the releases look VERY simple.

(the video is a LITTLE large, so go make a cup of coffee if your connection is slow...)

Hmm I want to watch this but I'll have to wait until I get home...  I like any slow motion bowling videos.

Good fitting ball for a nice tight fit. Like mentioned above, nothing makes more revs like a clean release. I then to find myself struggling to get revs on the ball when I start "pinching" it at the end of my release.

Fluff, the video isnt THEE greatest ever, but is pretty good quality, and shows, in as slow motion as Sony Vagas will allow, 2 different releases.

I noticed that for me, I got a a bit more revs from a better/proper drilling. My Triple X Factor was drilled completely wrong and it really never worked well for me. When I got my Passion, I went to a new driller and he took his time measuring my hand and making sure the ball sat well on my thumb and that the span was comfy. After that my ball has been so so so much more smooth, consistent, and those few extra revs really helps me when I hit light now, as it just shreds the rack.
