6 ball arsenal
« on: December 31, 2005, 05:50:26 PM »
If you were going to build a 6 ball arsenal with currently available Track equipment which 6 would you choose and how would you drill each. I throw Track exclusively and currently have 4 Track balls. I think I might just totally restart from scratch and wanted to get some ideas on what you guys would buy and how you would drill it. Thanks

Jason

Jason,

My 6 ball arsenal would be as such:

Heavy: If you face a TRUE heavy shot I would go Rule GP2, if not the Robo Rule will cover just about most of the heavier shots people face.
Med/Heavy: Rule Delta 1
Med: Solution PP
Med/lite: Solution PP EX
light: Desert Heat

My 6th ball would be a spare ball.

Hey bud I feel a 4 ball arsenal (5 with a spare ball) is all one needs but that's my opinion.  Here is what I feel a great 6 ball arsenal made up of Track balls.

Heavy oil: gp2
med/heavy: AR
med oil: arsenal angular
med oil: slash
light oil: heat
dry: desert heat

Just wanted to say thanks for the help. I may use chitown's advice on doing a 4 ball arsenal for now, so I just need to decide which balls to get. I know a Heat and Desert Heat are going to be 2 of them and maybe a FAZ. So I just need the 4th for now, probably something skid/flip in the medium range. Thanks again guys.

alloutsmith3: Do you have something to cover the medium-heavy or heavy range outside of the 4 ball arsenal you were planning? Because the Desert Heat, Heat and Freak-A-Zoid will handle everything from the light to medium range, but I don't see anything that will handle the swamps like a Rule Delta 1, RoboRule, GP2, Animal, etc...

I always carry at least two Track pieces with me to league: RoboRule and Havoc. When I go to tournaments I end up bringing my Slash with me as well, sometimes I bring the Rule for a different heavy oil look.

I do have a Arsenal Aggressive along with an Xception and 2 other older Track pieces. Most of the time oil patterns are so light were I'm from that I can't even throw the Arsenal, thats why I'm thinking of holding off on the heavy oil stuff for now and doing them later. I will probably do a Robo Rule and Arsenal Reactive for those 2 if nothing else is released by then.

I actually have a 4 ball league arsenal and a 6 ball tourney arsenal right now.

4 balls:
GP2
Robo
Animal
Phenom Unleashed 3.0-when it arrives

6 balls:
the 4 above
either original Rule/Delta
Spare ball

Additionally, I actually have 6 GP2s drilled up right now....they by FAR are more versatile and work for my game....I believe its due to mainly the high rg and the Goo dual particle cover!
