BR Track Forum Gone South????
« on: April 25, 2008, 05:09:05 AM »
It seems that this Forum is not what it once was since Ebonite bought Track, Rick left Track and Carl seldom posting anymore. Up until the Ebonite buy out of Track, this forum was one of if not the most popular forums on the BR site, but not any more. Anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

htownstaff,  That is not my job to contact the DSM to see if Track would do a Demo Day. That is Track's job to do that if they are interested to have their product sold in my area. It doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I was just pointing out the fact that Track is missing around here. Ebonite is doing very well around here with Hammer not doing too bad either, but Track is missing.

OK Brick...
I'm assuming you still bowl in O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A.  Would you attend a Track Demo at your center if they were to have one?  If so, I would be more than willing to contact your DSM and refer them to your local center's shop operator.

Brian, I personally know the DSM. He is a good friend of mine. He used to drill my balls before he went to work for Ebonite 7 years or so ago. However, I don't see him that much any more because he is a very busy person and on the go. He and the shop operator in the main center I bowl in and I are all 3 good friends. The shop operator sees the DSM a lot more than I do. Let me talk to the shop operator when I bowl Tues and see what he says and take it from there and I can let you know. I will be willing to do that much, OK?

That's fine Brick.  Just trying to help get more exposure in your area.

You can have any balls of the Ebonite companies for a demo day, so an Ebonite/hammer/columbia/track day is possible can of PITA but very possible.

Barry, Ebonite recently had a Demo-Day in the house I bowl in. I asked the shop operator if they were going to have any Track balls also and he said no, so I didn't attend as I didn't have an interest in any Ebonite balls at the time.

Alot of pro shops are skipping some Ebonite balls and going with Hammer or other branded stuff, the days of all ebonite demo days are pretty much done.

I think that most everyone has had "their say", so I am going to lock this topic. Thanks to all that responded as well as expressing how each responder felt. I don't really see any value in continuing this discussion.
