Release date is in front of us.....does anyone have hopes or expectations of this ball? Questions on ball reaction or look it gives on the lane?

Yes, I do, actually.

Is this going to be a strong pearl, or mild pearl? I'm already picking up an Emerald Vibe, and i'll be drilling a Kinetic Pearl to hopefully compliment it!

Whatever type of pearl it actually is, what type of lane conditions will best suit this ball?

Thanks!

What's up Carl,
Since I have been basiclly been using 2 balls everywhere since we spoke a couple of weeks ago how will this ball compare to the Complete NV?

BTW, the layout on the UpRising is working out great. Really, really smooth with pop at the pins.

Thanks,

What I am looking for from my Pearl is when the big boys are standing fifth and sixth arrow with their "big balls", I don't need a puddle with my pearl.  I will be able to stay on a safe part of the lane, while still having the power of the Kinetic that I love!

Depending on what happens with my Kinetic on its third drill, my next choice will be either the K.P., UpRising, or Black Widow Venom.

I apologize for taking so long to get back on this topic....trade show season has been hectic so far.

So let me start:

FastTracker, In all of my observations (of myself and other style of bowlers using the ball), the Kinetic Pearl is a mild pearl. I have heard some say it fits between the Energy and the Kinetic.....I see it below both. Its reaction is cleaner through the lane than the original Kinetic. You will see more energy retention down lane than you see in a Kinetic Energy, but its breakpoint is nowhere near as strong as the Origincal Kinetic.

Dw23, I do not see the Pearl as a replacement for a Complete NV. The Complete NV utilizes a much stronger coverstock. I am glad the UpRising is working well for you, it was awesome finding a face to put with the name.

vdinbc, you nailed it bud. This is exactly what my observations of the Pearl show.

Ok Carl,

You believe the K.P. to be the overall weakest in the Kinetic line.  From what I've seen on my own behalf,  both my Power Machines are stronger than my Kinetic.  So, if I go with a high-rg, 5.5-6" pin above fingers layout on the K.P, will it still be weaker than my Power Machines?

Man, I hope this ball is weaker than the Power Machine. I've been waiting for a new Track ball to come out to put under my PM for the medium to shorter oil.

Just Punched mine out 60 Degree by 5" at 60 Degree VAL.
Basically the pin falls in my midle finger. No Hole needed.

Will post after I throw it more on how it reacts compared to the rest of the the arsenal.

What I'm Hoping for is length and mellower read on the back compared to the rest of the arsenal. Especially on the burnt heads I frequently encounter up here in the northeast on the older wood with shorter patterns or longer patterns with lighter volume where staying out further benefits you the longer you stay right.

I if I end up with a nice ball on the burn as well that would be nice.

Pin placement is identical to mine I did in terms of right through the middle finger. Very interested to see what you have from it. I get effortless length and great control. Very good on lower volumes and shorter patterns. The regionals don't seem to burn up anymore as bad as they used to with the new machine so don't know much about deep angles with it yet.

I have enough stuff for deep angles i just want to be able to stay further right and compete with the guys who thumb it up 10 their entire lives and don't understand why we are playing 25 or deeper. LOL

Well I have used it in my league and found the following.
1. Its not as weak as i would have hoped. (Modified house shot on Pro Anvil lane)
2. It rolls very well and provides a very nice controllable Hard arc/Flip.
3. Carry is excellent and is very versatile as the lanes break down i was able to chase the oil line left very easily.
4. Is not as sensitive to oil as some pearls can be which made chasing the oil line much more predicatble.

Our Summer House shot does not have the Great Wall and has a little hang or wiggle outside of 5 if you swing it to the ditch.

Overall I am very pleased with the Pearl Kinetic.

I would still like to see a weaker ball in the line along the lines of a Tornado or Razr for the extreme burn or at least a ball that you can use to stay out of trouble on a really torn up pattern that you can play the dirt more effectively.

I am  going to drill another with a 5 1/2" OR 6" Pin up to see how it reacts on the burned up paterns.

Lol, I would but I learned a lesson the last time I bought a ball without seeing it in action first.

My Kinetic has no doubt the least number of games on it out of all I have, but went through the most hell with 3 drills, and Lord knows how many surface changes.
