« on: July 09, 2007, 07:02:47 AM »
Guys/Gals I know you have heard many statements about the new Track Equipment. I have read ALOT of them throughout this entire website. If you have specific Questions please post them here. Myself or Rick will answer your questions as best we can. Both of us have had alot of exposure to the new equipment and what they do on the lanes......for every style of bowler. We will be able to answer any question you have.

Thanks,
Carl

I'm not sure if it's been posted before but could you post the core #'s on the Kinetic? BTW it's summer time, grill up some 2" thick rib eye's.

Those differentials look so low, especially in the Kinetic for a "skid/snap" type of ball.

Is the Kinetic a solid or pearl?

Makes me wonder how great it would be to have a solid Machine!

Could someone compare it to the Mean Machine as well?  Take care of Six Pack first, but I want to know how it compares to the MM as far as overall hook and reaction shape.  Any other useful notes appreciated, thanks.

I don't know if you have a MM but I would'nt consider my MM a skid/snap ball.mine is clean in the heads and has a very hard arc in the mids/backend.it hits very hard but dose'nt have the recovery on the backend like a skid/snap ball.

sixpack,

I have only seen the Immortal Pearl thrown once, so comparing it with the Kinetic would be difficult. I will state this though.....I have thrown alot of bowling balls and the Kinetic turns the corner harder than anything I have thrown.

spinner,

It is alot different than the MM. As mentioned already, and I saw the same thing, the MM was an extremely strong arc in the backend. It does cover some boards down the lane, but nothing at the breakpoint like what the Kinetic will. The Kinetic is solid....

As for the low differentials: I cannot explain why a ball with lower differential would turn the corner like the Kinetic....but it does. The Temper on the other hand picks up roughly 2ft sooner than turns. In all honesty....the Temper is an improved Phoenix. It is the Phoenix with continuation.

Is the Rising considered a heavy oil ball while the Kinetic would be med/heavy and the Temper as medium as per Buddies preorder info??????

Weaser,

SO FAR I think with the proper layout that the Temper could be used on some drier conditions....or at the very least med/light.

The Kinetic is going to shine on mediums to medium/heavy. On the medium/heavy patterns it is going to need to be able to find friction....but when it does it will turn over very strong.

The Rising is a heavy oil ball.....that is extremely versatile. With the proper surface prep I think it would make a very good ball on mediums as well. Rarely does a company release a ball like this that will do almost anything!

Carl, I keep asking because I don't know if the Kinetic will be strong for me; I want to put it between The Rising and the Machine.  Will the Kinetic fit evenly there?

Spinner

OOB the Kinetic wants to get down the lane and prepare to expends its energy at the breakpoint. I feel that with your game you will probably need to adjust the surface a bit. I have not seen it with a different surface prep.....(thinking of trying mine at a lower grit), but I think it would be very strong. FOR ME OOB it is stronger than the Machine was.

low diff solid cover skid/snap ball for med/heavy oil????? this kinetic seems to go against the grain.either way I'm in the market right now for a pearl ball so that leaves me out for the time being.anything with a pearl cover in the works?
