Q:What is Mr Revless himself doing with an "Animal"?!?!

A: Testing the waters so-to-speak!

I've heard too much about the morpheous core and , to coin a phrase, curiosity has killed this cat......

With what I've read on this board/site and from a recommendation from my driller, king of the mill, ....Iv'e decided to try one more company....

It's being drilled as we speak.....can't wait....

King says he's got it laid out to forgive my weaknesses (he's seen me bowl, ...if that's what you want to call it

) ....and he's been saying for a while,...Mutant, Phenom, or Animal,...."just give me a ball and let me punch it the way I want to punch it!" .....so I did....I said..."have at it!"

"You should really try a Track high-end piece he says".....OK!

But, keep in mind, their low end stuff is just as good!!

Thanks Rock, I'm sure it is...it's just the versatility of the morpheous core that really has caught my eye........

I thinking of punching one up today!

My unleashed is great on synthetics and is real good on my home house until the 1/3 synthetics heads go. the wood mids hold up so it's easy to shoot thru the break point.

I'm thinking of 4.5 x 0mb with some polish. I should be able to use this all three games and not fight the lanes.

This is how good the morpheus core is. I was using the unleashed. I fought the lanes all night. threw 8 opens. shot 650. the second game I open the first 3 and ran it off the sheet. I think I threw about 6 balls that should not have carried.

I know they would not have carried with V2 series. now don't get me wrong, I have shot big games with the V2's and they carry well but the messengers just don't happen in the house.I am avg 200 but I think I could avg 210 because the morpheus core just tosses the pins around a lot more so I tripped out a lot of single pins and broke up a lot of splits.

I was actually throwing the ball the poorest I have in a long while and was still + every game for the night.

I love this line!

Jeff,

How will it be drilled? I am sure you have read the exchange about the MB near, on or past the VAL to really get the most out of this ball. I am still waiting for my spinner to play with the surface of my Animal. Hope it works for you as the jury is still out on mine.

OK!
Youth league bowled on carry down crap was the condition.............threw about 1 game total.....real quick:
1200 smooth
3 x 4 3/4 mb, past val , angled out weight hole 2 1/2 inches outside of grip center. A hook set layout w/ a little continuation left in it. (King's words not mine!

)

Standing 20 w/ left foot, out over 10 at the arrows to about 6 and back....

Uh oh!!!!!!!! I think I'm going to like this!

Hard to explain...it checks up early reading the mids, but doesn't stand all the way up, then sets and goes ! Great hit, and carry......

Yes, release matters, ...when I came around the side a little, it definately went further and didn't check up like it did with more up-the-back release...so I saw what a lot of you have said about this ball...

My first 3 shots I said "Huhhh?" ...it barely broke as much as my Hercules drilled control with 800 compound...king of the mill says "Jeff, relax,...you DON'T have to hit this ball,...slow down, let it do the work, ..."

BOOM, BOOM, BOOM...at that point I could really see the ball working, going thru it's stages, etc....

1 game........I like what I see, so far...more to come....powerful, versatile ball so far...crap condition too, so that leads me to believe this ball might be real sick on a fresh shot!

Jeff,

I know you know much of the technical stuff, but remember, when throwing this side by side with some reactive stuff, even if you have tamed down the surface a bit the reactive will hook stronger on the backend. With dry backends, I stand about 2 boards deeper with the Animal than the Retro Resurrection, when in reality it hooks much more, just not as strong off of the dry. Your 1200 smooth may take care of that though.

I think that's why king went with 1200 smooth, box I still might "chuck" it too much, and 800-600 would be too much.....1200 takes the shine off, but will still allow some pop and not burn too quickly
