How much carry down can this ball handle?

Hey Jon,

Since it's not designed for heavy conditions and for what I got out of it, it was able to eat thru the carrydown on med stuff very well.  On a medium condition, the ball can pick up faster and stronger in the mids so it was able to turn the corner still with ease.  Hope this helps some...

Thanks for the reply Rick. Jon and I were talking about this ball during league as well this past tuesday and possible arsenal gap fillers.

Sidenote: What do you think about this ball going over a Slash?
Jon, sorry if that question seemed like a hihack! JK...hehe

It's cool Ram. Just like you said when we talked.
I am looking for something that will go on
top of my benchmark ball. I am hoping this ball will.

I echo the comments from Ten as that is pretty much what I am seeing as well.

Jonathan and Ram,

My 5.0 sits perfectly above my Slash. I have not thrown a ball yet that cuts through carrydown as well as the 5.0 either. The only patterns that give me trouble when I am using it are the longer patterns because it doesn't pick up its roll soon enough, and the shorter patterns because it moves like a "mutha" off of the dry.
Back to the comparison....when I throw my Slash and 5.0 on the same condition the 5.0 makes me stand many boards further left due to the strong breakpoint. Some places allow for better carry from deep inside angles and the 5.0 gives me that, and some allow for better carry playing straighter which the Slash gives me.
I hope this info helps,
Carl
