What would you like to see from Hammer in the near future?
« on: January 28, 2009, 05:29:57 AM »
What kind of bowling balls would you like to see from Hammer in the near future?

I wish Hammer would make a VIBE with a strong solid reactive cover.  I would also like to have the exact core and specs as the other Vibes.  So basically just add a strong cover.

I think it would be a big seller at the VIBES price point.

My Blue Vibe with it's cover brought down to 1000 grit handled heavier oil pretty well.   I could only imagine how strong it would be with a stronger cover than the Blue Vibe.

The Blue Vibe is still one of the best bowling balls i've ever owned.

just bring back the blue vibe, buy a case of them, alter the surface on all of them and you have a ball that can cover just about anything

I had 3 of them at one time.  You can cover a ton of patterns with the Blue Vibe and a box of abralon pads.

Are you talking about making a blue urethane cover with the Vibe core?  That would be cool.

I know several bowlers that have urethane bowling balls.  Urethane is probably the best for dry lanes.  If the urethane hooks too much then it's not even worth bowling on lanes that have that little of oil on them.

I would love to see the High Rev 3-D Offset again with the original core and coverstock....but that will never happen since Mo Pinel owns the rights to the Core.

I would like to see the Gas Mask Core (used in the Black Widows) with the Cherry Vibe coverstock

I would also like to see a Vibe with a hybrid solid/pearl coverstock.

I was told that Hammer is only allowed to use the gas mask core in the Black Widow series, from here on out.....due to the sheer size of the core!
If they use it in any other series of ball, it may not be USBC sanctioned!

For me though, a vibe core in a hybrid coverstock or a urethane coverstock would probably do it, perfectly.

I would love to see something from them that is VERY weak but actually have a full core(such as an av pearl but with weaker cover). A true dry lane ball but with a core not pancakes.

I wonder why?? They should have continued the big blue line.. instead of putting that core in the widows and just making them go long and longer.. thats not always the answer..maybe on a house shot but not in tourneys

This I do not understand. What difference does the size The Gas Mask Core make inside of a BW series ball. The inside of the Widows are no bigger than the inside of the NM's. If the thickness of the coverstock is the difference they could alter the NM thinckness to accomodate the Gas Mask core. Being USBC sanctioned is another question. Af it makes the Widows  approved it will make the NM approved.
