Best/Favorite Ball cleaner
« on: February 03, 2011, 12:59:34 PM »
Im suffering from bowling in a house that apparently cant clean anything... My whole ball is getting covered in what is either belt marks or gunk from the backstop and I cannot get it off the ball for the life of me.

Things I have tried
Ebonite powerhouse
Alcohol
Acetone
Storm Reacta-shine? I think is what it is.

clean n' dull has always been the best real deep cleaner, imo

+1 on the Clean and Dull. Haven't had ONE mark or smudge that I couldn't get off with it.

I just bought a bottle of Lane Masters I-Tack cleaner and really like the results I'm getting. Keeps dull balls dull and polished balls polished. I really like using it on top of a fresh coat of polish to help the ball traction more on the backend.

Hook-it is one of the strongest spray cleaners, good for the quick clean up at the lanes.

Clean'N Dull is one of the best deep cleaners, but is better suited for after bowling clean-up. Do to it being a gel type cleaner.

I just got a bottle of 409 Cleaner this weekend (the house hold stuff).  Mixed it 50/50 with alcohol.  Only been using it a week but with great results so far.  I was looking for Simple Green but couldn't find it at Shoprite or Target.  The 409 was a huge bottle (32 oz.) at Target for $2.17 on clearance.  It'll probably last me a year!  Can't beat it when a little bottle of ball cleaner is $7-$15 and it does the same thing.

Balls in the bag and order they come out:
#1-Anarchy #2- Virtual Energy  #3- Virtual Gravity #4- Gravity Shift #5- Big Hit (spare and really dry)
#6- Teal Rhino Pro (oldie but a goodie)

 Jared,

Where did you get that cleaner at? Our shop can not find it thru our distributors.

Lanemasters sent us a sample bottle and I just found it again last week. Dead on accurate with what you posted. I used it to really clean some stuff up and it left my microfiber towel dark black with dirt residue. If you can hack the smell, it is a great deep cleaner.

Bigmike:

Buddies had the 4 oz bottle.  Now I only see the 32 oz bottle on their website.

charlest turned me on to Neo-Tac Hook-It (the Big B packaged formula).  I had used this in the past and the newer packaged Big B formula is not as offensive but is till relatively strong.  I like it a lot.   It is approved before and after.  I used Valentino's Remedy RX during bowling.

Add me to the list of Lanemasters advocates.  Been using it for a couple of years now.  Gets stuff off that nothing else would I had, Storm Reacta Clean and Ebonite Powerhouse.  Use it after every set.  By mine from Buddiesproshop.com.

I am an avid league/tournament bowler and travel quite a bit from the Atlanta area.  I used to use Ebonite Energizer and have used Neo Tac's Liquid Nitro.  Both of these are good but ever since I was shown Tac-Up there is no going back. Its in a round, white bottle with blue lettering. Everywhere ive seen this stuff at the pro shop operators are only using it.  I believe they said its not even a year old and is spreading around like wildfire.  The guy who showed it to me cleaned half my ball with it and the other half with Energizer and it wasnt even close. The towel on the Tac-Up side was much darker and if your hands were big enough you can palm it from the top like a basketball.
