I think when buying balls online, I'm gonna have to start asking what company will be used first. If its fedex, no thanks!

First of all, I use nothing but UPS when I ship because there is a UPS Store here in town. The nearest Fedex ground/Home delivery terminal is about 1 hour away. Sure fedex may save you a couple dollars per package, but they screw up all the time. Out of the last 10 times I have received packages via fedex, at least 4 of those times they either lose my package or put it on the wrong truck and it ends up at the wrong terminal or they say the barcode is unreadable and it sits for a day or 2 before they replace it. I'm just tired of all their fvckups!! UPS does not have this many problems.

Right now I'm waiting on a ball from Ike that was shipped on 6/28/06 and it was scheduled to be delivered today 7/5/06. Thats already a long transit time. Now this morning I tracked it and it ended up going to Raleigh NC instead of Greenville NC. Raleigh is less than 45 minutes from me but my packages usually come from Geenville. I called fedex to see why it was in Raleigh. It was put on the wrong truck. I asked if I could just come pick it up and they tell me no. They are gonna put it back on another truck and pass right by my city and take it another hour on the other side of me to Greenville and then greenville will deliver it 2 days later. New delivery date will be 7/7/06.

Like I said, this is about the 4th time I have had problems with fedex out of the last 10 times. I have grown to hate them with a passion!

Has anyone else ever had this many problems with them?

I work for UPS, and I gotta say it's overall a good company, we're the biggest privately owned parcel company in the world, over 100 years in the business.  Domestically we deliver over 14 million a day, with less than 1% having any kind of problems. Obviously ground is our bread & butter, but we're coming up in the air industry.  Fedex and DHL are still way behind, too small to handle the overall volume we're able to do.  People say we're expensive, i don't see how, but w/that price comes service (3 attempts on consecutive bus days, able to change addr or p/u, holding packages if there's problems, coverage up to 100.00 at no charge, etc.)  And we're trying to do even more.  I gotta say it's a good company, that's why we've been around so long.

well theres no way im gonna read all the responces, but i will say i personally love fedex. the prices are always cheaper than ups and usps. the ship times are always fast and have yet to have a single problem with them, never delayed shippment or anything. maby im luckey? ive shipped around 8 balls and no probs.

Welcome people to the new America of the 21st Century! Chain Stores are destroying this country and there isn't anything you can do about it. Except your shipping. I prefer to use the United States Post Office. Remember them? Yes, they still deliver packages.


As for Home Depot over Lowe's I don't think so. Being an avid person into home improvement I can tell you that HOME DEPOT SUCKS. They have some decent floor help and prices are a little lower then Lowe's but thier check out clerks suck balls. Also, their nursery is very lame and basic compared to Lowe's.
