lol! Mushtare in 204TH PLACE! LOL
« on: July 11, 2006, 01:35:11 PM »
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Heading into the 2006 United States Bowling Congress Junior Gold Championships, Robert Mushtare of Carthage, N.Y., had a simple goal. He wanted to average 200 for the tournament.

After two days of qualifying, Mushtare, the only bowler in history to have two certified 900 series, has some work to do to reach his goal. For his first 12 games, Mushtare has totaled 2,234, an average of 186.2.

The 17-year-old right-hander had games of 164, 200, 162, 188, 197 and 177 for 1,088 on Tuesday at Don Carter Tamarac Lanes for a 1,088 total. After Monday's first round, Mushtare sat in 204th place with 1,146.

"I think when I originally set my goal that it was reachable and it still is," said Mushtare, whose two pre-bowled 900 series were officially recognized by USBC last month. "It's going to take a good score tomorrow, but with all the attention and everything it has added pressure that I really didn't need."

Throughout his first two days of competition, Mushtare has been shadowed by a camera crew from ESPN's "Outside the Lines." The segment is tentatively scheduled to air on ESPN in late July.

In order for Mushtare to advance at the Junior Gold Championships, he must have a strong showing in the final six games of qualifying Wednesday. Early projections indicate he needs to average at least 210 to have a chance to make the first cut. The top 154 males will advance to the semifinals on Thursday.

prove he isn't a cheat saying he has 2 900's and is averaging 186.2 in the jog - when he has 2 900's.
--------------------

Ok, lets see here.  I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that he even stated that the lanes put down a big wall for him.  In that same article, I read that he has never bowled on a sport shot.

So knowing that, he could have 2+ 900s.  And he could only average 186 at JOG.  It is quite simple really, but small brains like yours don't really understand.

That's not proof... it's conjecture.  Doesn't your small brain understand the difference?

As far as proving anything, it should be the accusers that have to prove it, since even the law says that.  Noone here has to prove he IS NOT a cheat, the proof that he IS is needed.  The proof he is not a cheat is recorded in the records of the USBC, whether I believe it or not.  There are only two people that KNOW if he cheated or not, the bowler and God.  As for his performance, I have known guys who average 230, go to Nationals and barely shoot deuce, and some did not, so his performance does not mean that he did not do what is claimed, it only means that he has a hard time with pressure and yes, that he is getting his butt handed to him.  I cannot say either way that he did or did not cheat, but to my knowledge, the "innocent until PROVEN guilty" clause still stands in the America that I live in.

comparing half of the board is terribly wrong man. This guy says he has what, 5 900's and two approved by USBC. You would think someone CLAIMING he had 5 900's, he would be ALOT better than 204th place. NO ONE ELSE HAS CLAIMED 5 900'S LIKE HE HAS. I would of loved to go, and just finished, I might of not averaged 186, but i sure in the hell wouldn't say i had 5 900's and bowl like that.

Guys...I know you think the accusers have to prove it, but THIS IS THE PROBLEM.

I shot 900 today. Don't believe me, then prove it.

I AM NOT trying to insult anyone, sorry if it seemed like an attack, but my point is...well I stated it already.

I shot 900(in 3 games)...so I deserve credit right?

maybe you should think twice about talking a bunch of with no honor scores or even a nice high game. go practice and then come back and talk? 210 at 19 blows too.. thinking your "the shiit"

im just stating the facts, saying you have had 5 900's and bowling 186- should be pretty LOW for yourself.

Well, as of this moment we don't know how far he's from the cut.  Being in 204th place is after the first round, where he shot 1146, an average of 191.  Today he shot 1088, average of 181.

From what I understand... and I could be wrong... he shot 1146 on the short oil pattern, the softer of the three different patterns.  If this is true, expect another 180 average tomorrow.

So let's say he he averages 185 for the event, heck let's give him 190.  That won't be enough for the cut.  And that would give him an adjusted average of 207 (according to SportBowling.com).

Ehh, I've dropped the issue, why can't the rest of you? The USBC was forced to accept them, they couldn't get the evidence to say that he DIDN'T bowl them and apparently the 2 900s passed the requirements. I'm not saying he did it, cause I don't like him much either. But c'mon, it's annoying seeing this forum riddled with multiple posts about the kid and how bad he's doing. Give it up, he's not doing bad at all for a guy that hasn't bowled on a sport shot up to now.

It's pretty simple...his ball is not being funneled into the pocket, that's why his scores aren't too "high".  He's doing fine, young kid, taking a shot, gaining experience...nothing wrong with that.  To be honest a 186 or whatever first time shooting on sport conditions isn't too shabby.  He's not going to win, but like I said he put himself out there and didn't hide from everyone...which to me is commendable.

I couldn't care less if he shot a 900 or 11 900's it doesn't affect me one bit...and if the USBC says he did it....well then...what else is there to say?

to the point the USBC approved it.

They are getting laughed at now as well. For approving somebody 2 900's and them bowling bs with 186.2
