Midwest Gathering 2.
« on: August 29, 2011, 06:13:49 AM »
Ok everyone, this is the info I have as of now.

I have a date of 17 September 2011 at Bowling Green Sports Center, which is a Saturday, we can have the lanes from 12PM to 4PM, then leagues will be starting. And I have assurance's from people that work there that the lanes will be oiled, as I said before I know people that work their.

But I will need a count of heads so I can tell them how many people will be their. I got roughly 15 in the last thread, but that didn't count if you will bring someone with you. The more the merrier.

Ok Mr. Doom has come thru and we will have a ball to raffle, hope to see allot of you this Saturday.

Yes we will be selling tickets for this ball and holding a raffle of sorts, and donating the precedes to the Benefit that Monster Pike's family is going to have for his relative that had this stroke. Its for Medical bills and such. I will let you know about this as this is still up in the air.

Address, and web site.

Very disappointed with no pictures .. but I understand the excitement of the first get together! Next time there will be more events and twice as many attendees! Glad you had a good time ..

Much thanks for the congrats, sevenpin and Pikey. The little ones are in the NICU right now. Went and saw them today, and as much as I love bowling, it was way cooler to hold my little ones for the first time. :P

I'm glad that everyone had fun. I hope everyone chimes in and lets us know how it was for you. We would like to do something like this on the regular, so we can create a mongo huge midwest gathering every year or heck, every 6 months. I mean, what else is there to do around here??

Joe, I had a camera all ready to go to take pics and vids. Best laid plans, right?

Pike, if you only shot 300 for 3 (I know, it's a joke), on the china at BGSC, we need to have a serious sitdown and talk about finding you something else to do. :)

So sevenpin, my ticket wasn't pulled? :(

Beast, I didn't get my comped Griips Glove in the mail yet. I was going to raffle one off, but no one sent me anything. Geesh, cheap company!

I CERTAINLY HOPE NO POOPY HEADS DARED USE TURBO INSERTS OR THE GRIIPS GLOVE?

LoL!!  Well it wasn't 300 series, but it still wasn't pretty... Considering I hadn't laced em up since last April & no practice... I'll live with it... Axe & sevenpin can make fun of me... I can take it...

And on edit, I thought you were gonna suggest that you'd "have a serious sitdown and coach me", but what you said is just cold man...    LoL!

Yes had a great time bowling and meeting Monster Pike ans Axewelder and ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE THAT SHOWED UP.  Like River Rat, One Armed Joe, and Double Tong Pete.

Very nice game by Axewelder, hell nice 4 games he bowled all in the 240's and the last one was the 300, so he quit while he was ahead.

Me I Bowled 7 games and was all over the place.  Have not gotten into the groove yet this year.

Got lucky in the raffle with all those tickets we sold.

JLS I don't even think he used finger holes in his balls, so no need for grips.
Beast your all washed up, time to find a new job.

I especially like Suzy Tropical... She was smokin & gave off some serious heat..  Pete was cool too...  I still can't figure out how One Armed Joe is a 2 hander... He was pretty good...

It was nice meeting everyone yesterday!  It an awesome feeling, that every time I attend one of these events,  everyone is so damn nice, and easy to talk to.  Its good to put more faces to the names.  Hopefully next year has a few more people.

Have to say thanks to sevenpin for putting this all to together, and congrats on wining the Eagle!  Also it was awesome to meet monster pike as well.  You guys rock in my book.

As for the shot.  Have to say it was a little on the easy side, or I just remembered to grab the horseshoe before leaving the house. LOL  Sevenpin you throw a nice ball even though you are on the wrong side of the lane, or at least on the scoring unit (inside joke).  For monster pike having a hard time scoring, he did have me spraying the ball all over the place.  That can make for some hard scoring conditions.

Hope to see you guys again, had a great time listening, talking and hanging out!

Yes I will try to put something together next year around July or August and give allot more notice.
Maybe we will get a bigger turn out than we did this year.
I will take this year as a trial run, maybe one year we can out do the east coast gathering.
