Midwest Gathering 2.
« on: August 29, 2011, 06:13:49 AM »
Ok everyone, this is the info I have as of now.

I have a date of 17 September 2011 at Bowling Green Sports Center, which is a Saturday, we can have the lanes from 12PM to 4PM, then leagues will be starting. And I have assurance's from people that work there that the lanes will be oiled, as I said before I know people that work their.

But I will need a count of heads so I can tell them how many people will be their. I got roughly 15 in the last thread, but that didn't count if you will bring someone with you. The more the merrier.

Ok Mr. Doom has come thru and we will have a ball to raffle, hope to see allot of you this Saturday.

Yes we will be selling tickets for this ball and holding a raffle of sorts, and donating the precedes to the Benefit that Monster Pike's family is going to have for his relative that had this stroke. Its for Medical bills and such. I will let you know about this as this is still up in the air.

Address, and web site.

I hope this get together comes off .. the NC thing is fantastic and I know you guys will try to outdo it .. but you have a tough time ahead of you .. .. our first one was only about 10 bowlers and grew to at least 30 .. whenever you get bowlers together for bowling .. how can you miss .. I'm glad I backed out early another emergency came up where I have to go to NY .. flights start feeling like they are draining your resources .. I know you'll enjoy the gathering ..hope someone is assigned to PICTURES!

I hope this thing does go off, which it will.
But don't know if we will have 15 people or 5 people, hopefully more towards the 15 people, it would be a good start.
If this thing goes off good, maybe we can have a yearly gathering but I would move it to some time in August or July. Might get a better turn out.

Most of the time, gatherings start off smaller, then grow bigger year by year. People know to expect it, so they plan to come ahead of time. Pretty sure we can kept this going, considering how big bowling is in the chicagoland area.

That being said, I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

Funny thing about gatherings... you may find that you already know some of the people you're meeting for tge first time!

Well I know I won't know anyone except from convo's on here...  My daughter has a fricken softball game in Wasco at 2:00 that day... I am an assistant coach... I gotta see if I can get out of it... It's just 1 game, so I'm  hoping...
