Which manufacturer would you choose?
« on: December 15, 2011, 11:26:01 AM »
During league last night, we all got into a heated debate on what company would be the best to build an arsenal around. I was intrigued by how many people chimed in so I figured I would post the question on here.

This is a totally hypothetical question. Its not whether you should or shouldn't stick with one company.

If you were to build an arsenal with one company and one company only, who would you choose?

I picked Track only because of the numbering system.

I would go with Ebonite, since I could then use Ebonite, Columbia, Hammer, and Track

I agree. Ebonite has the most variety right now so I would have o go with them.

Now if the question is ONE BRAND...well then it is harder but I would probably go with Storm.

I'm confused, Ebonite has the "most variety" but if it were only one brand you'd go with Storm.

Storm has the most variety when you look at what they have out from plastic, mild urethane, stronger urethane, mild resin up to very aggressive resin covers. You cannot offer more variety and more importantly, balls that match up to a variety of bowlers.

I agree with Straight Ball. Although other companies have good products, from top to bottom, the Storm/Roto product line is the most complete, from low end, light oil pieces, to top line balls.

Picking Ebonite doesn't give you the umbrella of the other companies cause they are all separate even though Ebonite owns all the other brands!! It would be like saying 900 Global and using AMF, Lane #1, Seismic, 900 Global,  Etc.....

Personally, in the bag is AMF, 900 global, and one Seismic. I like most stuff out of San Antonio, and have since the Track Morpheus core days.

If I couldn't get that stuff anymore, I would have to go Storm.

Have used both Storm and Brunswick.  As I have grown older Brunswick fits my needs best.  I went with Storm when Big B moved to Mexico.  Big mistake.  I am now back to Brunswick and doing much better.

I could make do with a Slingshot, Massive Damage, Anaconda and Nexus Solid + TZone.

I would have to say Track or Rotogrip. Those have been the best match-ups for my style.

For me I basically stay within the Track brand. I pick up randomn pieces here and there as they are given to me to try, but for the most part the new Track stuff really matches well with my game.

RotoGrip/Storm for sure!
