The "good old days"!! Actually not so long ago. I remember back when I was 20 winning an association tournament overseas while stationed in Japan shooting a similar shot - 1974 I believe. Singles title took only 662, and walked away with a 1910 for All Events. A well rolled 16# ball carried reasonably well even on tight lines with little entry angle. Flush, trip 4, slap out 10's and wall shots carried consistently. Flat hits were tough to carry. No flying messengers or scouts back in those days. A weak 10 was a GOOD thing - it meant you got the 8 pin out!
