your best ever ROTO GRIP ball?
« on: February 25, 2012, 01:31:12 AM »
The title speaks for itself. what do you think is the best ROTO ball ( so far ) past / present and why? I have recently started to use Roto so my pick is the CRITICAL THEORY -  very consistant, seems to be my go to ball most of the time. I have 2 Criticals with different layouts. The RISING STAR is just as good as well so I may have to say both are the best.

Ok...my fave has to be the infinite theory.  It's the closest they've made to a Hyroad type cover and is useable almost every where I go.  Honor scores with both that I own as well.

Silver Streak Pearl.  When it was new, it was the one ball that could make just about anyone look like a cranker.  It had the strongest move down lane of any ball I've ever thrown.  It was actually better after about 50 games when the extreme flippyness got toned down.  I still have it, but it's just not the same ball any more.  There's not a ton of games on it and the cover is good and clean, but I get real bad over under with it.  May the newer more viscous lane oils aren't a good match for it.

Mine has to be the Nomad Dagger.  On medium conditions, it is easily the most predictable ball I have ever thrown.

Without a doubt, mine was the old blue Rotostar (plastic)
That was an awesome ball on the old wood lanes
had several honor scores with it before it cracked

The Rising Star is the best Rotogrip ball I have rolled.   Not the biggest hooking ball out there, but I use it to consistently post high scores.

This is a tough call, I would have to say it is the Original Cell, no other ball has ever dominated the market so much and for so long. And that ball can last I still have two from when they first came out that I throw. Without a doubt the best ball I have ever owned.
