There are profanities said just about every week.  Not much of a shock here.  Seems as though every week now, we are going to have "Did he really say" threads.  Awesome!!!!

just because it hasn't been bleeped doesn't mean it's not unprofessional behavior on national tv.........

cool rocking dadd I think you are lame.  You must be a juvenile.  As a parent I would rather have that kind of language on controlled stations.  I don't want my junior bowler think that kind of language or action is ok and have them as a role model.

I think it is unprofessional to see a professional athlete use that kind of language on television where we are trying to show that bowling is a sport conducted by professionals.

ok this isnt 1970 anymore its 2008, your junior bowler son hears stuff a lot worse than that at school, out with his friends etc. and wouldn't doubt he says some of it himself not around you, or will when hes older (dont know the age). As for Kenny saying that, he probably thought they were on break, usually when Wes would be walking out with his gear and everything getting ready ESPN would be on commercial break, they were about 3 secs before break when he said it, I don't blame Ken at all for this, come on after throwing 289 with a ringing 10 on national television your going to show some uncontrolled emotions. He did a great job on the show today, was very fun to watch.

I'm sure that Janet Jackson wish she had an 8 second delay.

I don't remember the last time I heard that kind of language from the NBA.

That kind of language just adds to the stigma bowlers are trying to over come.  Fouled mouthed, fat, beer guzzling non athletic bowlers portraying that bowling is really a sport.

If they don't want to watch their language, they should forego the mic.

I take it by your reply that you didn't actually see the show. It was way way after the match was over, wes was actually on the pair, goin to start his warm ups, much much longer than they usually stay with it, and usually cut to commercial a good 30-45 Seconds before. Ken greated wes with what he was feeling at the time "holy xxxt dude!!!!" obviously shocked that what a great run he was on. Would be willing to put $ that he thought that they were in the commerical break, and was just bs'ing with his friends.

I watch the NBA and NFL and you hear that kind of language all the time! I have to get on some youth bowlers when they slip up with language, plus some of the song they play at the bowling center has worse words than that. I don't use it, but I hear it used all the time! Just my $.02, Bruce

There is language just like what Wes or Ken said and even worse on every NBA, NFL, and MLB telecast. All you have to do is LISTEN for it.

NBA players b!tch and cuss at the refs for missed calls.

NFL players b!tch and cuss at the refs for missed penalties.

MLB players and managers b!tch and cuss at umps for missed strikes and balls.

The players are at NO FAULT at all, the fault lies with ESPN and their reluctance to have any delay in Live action.

Saturday Night Live bleeps out several actors during the show with no problems since there is a delay, ESPN could do the same with any show they wanted to, including the PBA.

FYI.....PGA players swear like old sailors.  PGA just makes sure they aren't mic'ed.  PBA take the mic's off of them.

Freddy Couples worked over with some foul language a number of people in a tourney a few years back because something was said by one of the members of the gallery.  TV caught him in the act no sound but you could read his lips.

While we are at it.....PBA fans attending have very good conduct....you can not say the same about the supposedly "white collar" upper middle income PGA fans attending a PGA event in the US.....not anywhere near the good conduct of a British Open crowd.
