Midwest Gathering 2.
« on: August 29, 2011, 06:13:49 AM »
Ok everyone, this is the info I have as of now.

I have a date of 17 September 2011 at Bowling Green Sports Center, which is a Saturday, we can have the lanes from 12PM to 4PM, then leagues will be starting. And I have assurance's from people that work there that the lanes will be oiled, as I said before I know people that work their.

But I will need a count of heads so I can tell them how many people will be their. I got roughly 15 in the last thread, but that didn't count if you will bring someone with you. The more the merrier.

Ok Mr. Doom has come thru and we will have a ball to raffle, hope to see allot of you this Saturday.

Yes we will be selling tickets for this ball and holding a raffle of sorts, and donating the precedes to the Benefit that Monster Pike's family is going to have for his relative that had this stroke. Its for Medical bills and such. I will let you know about this as this is still up in the air.

Address, and web site.

Anything planned for afterwards yet?  For around there or to a different area following the bowling?  Dinner, beverages, etc... Not sure what's around that neck of the woods... Or is there a decent place inside there?

No nothing as of yet but open for suggestion's. They do have a bar upstairs but nothing but a snack shop inside the bowling alley.

You seem to be the connoisseur of places to go and eat, and get out after bowling.
But their is a good pizza place down the road from their named Pal Joeys.

Well gents, how much fun are we looking to have? You're 15 mins away from all the joints on 59, and all the joints in Geneva and St Charles.

I tried St. Charles Bowl but all they had was Cosmic bowling going on every Saturday.
Don't think the members here would been to happy with Cosmic and all the kids that go with it.
St. Charles is not that far away from Bowling Green, maybe a 10min. drive.

No I didn't mean for bowling either.
What I meant is maybe we can head to St. Charles after bowling, eat and do some bar hopping?
Sounds like fun except for the next day.

Theres a pizza place down the street called paljoeys or something like that.  They have other things there as well.  I believe it is an italian restaurant.  You can also drive about 15 minutes south on route 59 and there are tons of restaurants in the Naperville area.

It's nice they are willing to do this.  I hope they can put a challenging shot out.  their house shot is ridiculously easy. I'm not complaining but if there may be some pots going, it should show our potential and not what we can do on a house shot. Thanks again for checking into this and appreciate bowling green for hosting it.

Well, what kind of eats do we want? Mcnallys is god, and that can start us out on the east side of the river and keep heading west for more bars. Its what I used to do, anyways... :)

As long as we skip the filling station. Its like a frat party up in there.

I wouldn't bet on anything else other than the ths. From 10 to 10, a lake for about 45 feet. Hit 8 to 5 at 40 feet, watch it walk in. Although rumor has it that they took the bump away outside of 4, so thats no mans land. If Chuck actually changes the pattern, ill buy that man a beer or two.

Well I know about the middle of the last year the shot started to change. I used be able to get a long way down before it would make its move, but then I would have to get really close the gutter for it to make its move, I mean really close. It seemed like the shot got allot tighter to me.
